Located in the 1908 historic courthouse in downtown Bryson City, North Carolina, the Swain County Visitors Center and Heritage Museum allows visitors to roam around and learn the county’s history. Upstairs, there are photos, exhibits, a 15-minute video, a kid’s zone, and more.
Downstairs is the visitors center for Swain County and the National Park. There are brochures for lodging, shopping, activities, trail maps, etc. There is also a bookstore/giftshop for Great Smoky Mountain National Park, where parking passes are sold.
There is no admission charge. However, donations are accepted. Restrooms are accessible.
