Located in the 1908 historic courthouse in downtown Bryson City, North Carolina, Swain County Visitors Center and Heritage Museum, allows visitors to roam around the museum learning history about the county, there are photos, exhibits, a 15-minute video, a kids zone, and more upstairs.
Downstairs is the visitors center for Swain County and for the National Park, there are brochures for lodging, shopping, activities, trail maps, etc. There is also a bookstore/giftshop for the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, where parking passes are sold.
There is no admission charge, however, donations are accepted. Restrooms are accessible.
