The Dillsboro Merchants Association announces the yearly return of Colorfest, taking place on Saturday October 3, 2026 10 AM to 4 PM along historic Front Street. Our artsy village welcomes the return of this popular festival with 40 demonstrating artists along Front Street and plenty of colorful creations. This favorite fall event is free to attend with live entertainment all day, and the best autumn atmosphere you’ll find anywhere! Colorfest is one of Dillsboros annual traditions, said Sheldon Reed, Director of the Dillsboro Merchants Association, Its a day when our town shines with artistic energy, shared community pride, and a heartfelt commitment to local creators. An annual event, the festival celebrates Dillsboros long-standing reputation as a mountain arts destination. Visitors can explore handcrafted pottery, fine art, jewelry, fiber arts, woodwork, seasonal crafts, and moreeach piece created by artisans from across Western North Carolina and beyond.
