Make your own Appalachian-Style Hawk’s Tail Broom with Appalachian Broom Maker Cathy Henson. Brooms can be fashioned in various styles with twine woven to create intricate designs. In this class, you’ll make one of the simpler versions which is a regional favorite. Materials are provided, including specialty scissors for the group to share. You’re welcome to bring your own scissors (regular large utility scissors) for cutting the smaller pieces.
