Nestled along beautiful Lake Chatuge in the mountains of Western North Carolina, Hinton Rural Life Center offers a variety of lodging options, conference and dining spaces, indoor and outdoor worship areas, trails, a boat and swim dock, labyrinth, memory garden, Market & Gift Shop, WiFi, and a relaxing rocking-chair porch overlooking the lake.
What makes a stay at Hinton especially meaningful is that your visit gives back. As a nonprofit retreat and mission outreach center, revenue from our lodging and conference facilities helps support programs serving our rural Appalachian community, including Safe and Healthy Home repairs, firewood ministry, Christmas Care for children, poverty awareness, and elderly fall risk assessments.
Hinton Rural Life Center has a variety of accommodations in our wooded, mountain setting: retreat houses for families and small groups; Hermitage cabins and apartments for individuals and couples; large group retreat houses; and rooms in our Lodge. All have heating and air conditioning. Our accommodation options are pictured below, with descriptions, rate ranges, and links to floor plans. Nightly rate ranges are given; weekly rates are available on request. In addition, we have 9 RV sites, available in 30 and 50 AMP.
