Great Smoky Mountain Waterfalls

Mountain waterfalls have always been revered as mystical places that stimulate all of your senses. The roar, the sun-drenched visuals, the fresh scent and the cold splash that reaches out to touch you make waterfalls a spiritual experience.

Searching for waterfalls is an adventure the whole family can enjoy.

Smoky Mountain Waterfalls

 

Big Laurel Falls, F7

Bridal Veil Falls, G6 Cullasaja Falls, G6
An easy ½-mile trail brings you to this 30-foot cascading waterfall that tumbles into a small placid pool Visible from Hwy64, this beautiful waterfall drops 120 feet. Visible from Hwy64, this 250-foot waterfall is accessible by a ½-mile steep trail.
 
Dry Falls, G6   Glen Falls, H7 Indian Creek Falls, F4
3½ miles west of Highlands, a paved walkway takes you to and through the 75-foot falls.   A 1-mile steep, rough trail brings you to three falls, each dropping about 60 fee. This gorgeous 60-foot waterfall is in the Great Smoky Mountains National.
         
Juneywhank Falls, F4   Mingo Falls, G3   Mouse Creek Falls, H2
Just ¼ mile downstream from Indian Creek Falls   This 200-foot scenic waterfall on the Cherokee Indian Reservation   Follow a 2-mile trail to Mouse Creek's 25-foot falls in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.
         
Rufus Morgan Falls, H2   Sassafrass Falls, C5   Silver Run Falls, I7
It's just a short walk to these near-vertical 65-foot falls in Wayah Bald   Follow a 3½-mile trail to wide, steep, multiple falls about 45 feet high   A combination free-fall and near-vertical slide about 40 feet high
         
Soco Falls, G3   Tom's Branch Falls, F4   Waterfall on Tellico River B5
Just north of Cherokee, this waterfall runs down the slope of Soco Bald   Just ¼ mile downstream from Deep Creek Campground   ½-mile trail to two large cascading waterfalls, separated by short run, with an overall height of about 45 feet
         
Waterfall on Townhouse Branch E4   Whitewater Falls, I7    
This 30-foot waterfall starts with a steep cascade into a 5 foot free fall.  1-mile trail to falls   At 411 feet, this is the highest waterfall in Eastern United States
