General Description: The Oconaluftee Indian Village is a replica of a Cherokee Community of the 1750s. Visitors experience the everyday life of the Cherokee and the artisans dress in period costumes and perform tasks done by their forefathers in the mid 1700's. There are replicas of homes of that period as well as a replica of a Cherokee Council House of that period.
