Highlands Inn

General Description: The 131 year old Highlands Inn is located on Main Street in the heart of the beautiful mountain town of Highlands, North Carolina. The Inn is steps away from the retail shops, upscale boutiques,century old churches and Inns and great restaurants to fit any culinary whim.Drive a few miles in any direction to appreciate breathtaking natural recreational areas including lakes, waterfalls and hiking trails. The Inn has been referred to as "The Crown Jewel of Highlands" by local towns people. Historical renovation of the Highlands Inn and Kelsey Place Restaurant took place in 1989 and in 2006 the Sequoyah Room was transformed into Highlands premier banquet facility. The decor throughout the Inn has been researched and restored in the "Country Manner." You will appreciate antique furnishings, colonial paints, wall coverings, and stenciling by a master stenciling artist. The Inn is listed on the National Registry for Historic Places since 1991.
